Illinois State 3-D Championships

IL Scholarships

 

PEKIN, Ill. (June 10, 2017) – The 2017 S3DA Illinois State Championship was hosted by 3D Xtreme at the Pekin Archery Range. There were 11 teams represented and all of them were competing for the much-anticipated state championship. Among these 11 teams, there were four schools and seven clubs, which encompassed 79 total shooters.

1st place in each High School division received approximately $40,000 worth of scholarship money. 2nd place in each High School division received approximately $32,000 worth of scholarship money. 3rd place in each High School division received approximately $28,000 worth of scholarship money. 11 Illinois High School students received scholarships from 4 different Colleges including Union College, University of the Cumberlands, Emmanuel College, and Georgetown College.

The Hardin County Cougars won the High School team award.

This state S3DA tournament was very fortunate to have several wonderful donations. Special thanks are given to Select Archery, Springfield Archery, Danny Evans, Alex Wifler, Steve Loveless Precision Arrows and Tuning, Ben Pearson Archery, Limbsaver, Extreme Archery products, High Country Archery, Bohning, ArcHER, Bowfinger and Truball. Their acts of kindness made the shoot even more enjoyable for the shooters and their coaches.
