Bowhunters of Alabama Encourage Support of S3DA

Louisville, KY – November 2, 2015 – The Bowhunters of Alabama (BHA) recently began encouraging its chapters to start Scholastic 3D Archery programs.

BHA officers and chapter members completed the S3DA training required in order to establish S3DA clubs throughout their local chapters and to assist local schools interested in the S3DA program.

Bowhunters of Alabama will also work with Scholastic 3D Archery to provide S3DA regional and state tournaments in conjunction with their scheduled BHA 3-D tournaments. BHA recognizes the need to increase youth involvement in bowhunting and has offered to mentor these young Alabama archers in proper bowhunting techniques. Bowhunters of Alabama is a non-profit organization created to foster, expand and perpetuate the proper use of the bow and arrow, support adherence to all game laws and provide bow hunters within the state, a way to voice their opinions.

New Shooting Classes for the 2016 season!

Louisville, KY – Aug. 19, 2015 – Scholastic 3D Archery will be adding new shooting classes for the 2016 season. Shooters will now have the opportunity to shoot in an Open class or an Olympic Recurve class.These new classes are in addition to the previously offered Pins and Traditional classes. these new classes offer more opportunity for S3DA students to transition into college archery programs.

National Director Michael Lundeen is excited for the changes. “We are excited to announce that the S3DA program has garnered so much interest from the various shooting disciplines, that we have added both an open and Olympic recurve class to our lineup. These additions will most certainly have an imm ediate impact on the number of kids entering S3DA.”

Cabela’s Awards Grant to S3DA

Louisville, KY – The Cabela’s Outdoor Fund, with a mission to promote conservation and hunting, fishing, camping, boating and other outdoor sporting and recreational activities, has awarded a $100,000 grant to the Scholastic 3D Archery program. S3DA provides 3-D archery opportunities for youth in afterschool settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in their communities. The Scholastic 3-D Archery program places special emphasis on archery education, conservation, and bowhunting.
